Our vintage tractor route suggestions:
We have created three beautiful tour suggestions for you, which you can conveniently download to your navigation system and then drive off straight away with the vintage tractor.
Tour 1) Through the surrounding Upper Sauer Nature Park to the farming villages of Tadler and Ringel (Fuussekaul – Heiderscheid – Tadler – Ringel- Heiderscheid – Fuussekaul, 13.6 km)
Nice little beginners tour for a first ride with our vintage tractors. From the campsite it goes via Heiderscheid through the surrounding Upper Sauer Nature Park to the neighboring farming villages of Radler and Ringel and then back to the campsite. On the way, wonderful views of the Sauer Valley and the wooded valleys await for you from the plateaus.
Tour 2) A varied circular tour through the Sauer Valley to Bourscheid – with a possible visit to the castle
(Fuussekaul – Heiderscheid – Tadler – Sauertal – Lipperscheid – Bourscheid Moulin – Bourscheid – Kehmen – Heiderscheid – Fuussekaul, 32.6 km)
A wonderful and varied circular tour through the nearby Sauer Valley. From the campsite you drive through the wonderfully situated neighboring village of Tadler, from where you can already enjoy first unforgettable views, down into the Sauer Valley and then always along the Sauer. A great tour through unique and pristine nature. From Lipperscheid it goes back to the plateau via Bourscheid and then back to the campsite. In Bourscheid you have the opportunity to visit the Castle of Bourscheid on the way. The castle stands on a ledge surrounded by the Sauer and is divided into the outer castle, lower castle and upper castle. In terms of area, it is the largest castle complex in Luxembourg and absolutely worth seeing. The tour is possible with audio guides in 7 languages.
Tour 3) A varied circular tour through the Sauer valley to the medieval village of Esch Sauer and to reservoir dam of the Upper Sauer reservoir (Fuussekaul – Heiderscheid – Tadler – Sauertal – Heiderscheider Grund – Esch Sauer – reservoir dam -Lultzhausen – Eschdorf – Heiderscheid – Fuussekaul, 31.2 km)
From the campsite you drive through the wonderfully situated neighboring village of Tadler, from where you can already enjoy the first unforgettable views, down into the Sauer Valley and then always along the Sauer to the medieval town of Esch-Sauer, which is nestled in a beautiful valley of the Sauer. It is definitely worth taking a break here to visit the ruins of the oldest castle in Luxembourg, which are freely accessible and offer a fantastic view of the village and its narrow streets, which have hardly changed since the Middle Ages. Furthermore, cozy cafes invite you to a relaxed coffee break. From Esch Sauer you continue on the Sauer to the dam of the Obersauer reservoir, where you can take another break with great views of the lake. The reservoir is not only used for the generation of energy and the supply of wahter, but serves also as a leisure area. The tour then continues along the Upper Sauer reservoir with beautiful views of the lake to Lultzhausen, from where you drive via Eschdorf back to the plateau and back to the campsite.
